Your Baby In Week 18

Turning to week 18 is very much like turning to adulthood in more ways than one for a baby. The baby continues its growing process and soon the pads of his fingers and toes are formed. It is on these only the baby is going to stand tall one day. By now the baby has grown 0.5 inches more and stands at 5.5 inches. But it has put on some weight from last week form 4.5 ounces now weighs at 7.5 ounces. The baby is developing all organs and can by now kick you and sleep too. The skin is still pink and ears stick out form his head that are the same for some time now. The heart of the baby begins to build-up muscle cells and is pumping between 25 and 30 quarts of blood a day. One more reason why the week 18 is like turning to adulthood is because of the fact that if your baby is a boy than the prostate will begin to develop this week. The sleeping baby is soon developing his organs and is now just reaching the half way mark. What more by now baby has got its set of fingerprints too.
