You might have notice newly born having long hairs and you did always wonder when did this happen and where did this come from. Actually it is now, in week 15 that the hair growth takes on a rapid growth. It just continues to grow on head and eyebrows. The baby’s eyes are almost in place and so is the ear, they too are in position, well almost. And the skeletal system also is developing fast and so is the muscle part. This is one week in which you did find that your baby is going to move, kick and try out everything possible with his hand and legs. It would be freeing his wrist and using its head. And one more important development is that of skin. You are always amazed at the softness of a baby skin and in this week to the skin is still developing. The skin of baby is so soft and translucent that you could see the blood vessels through it. So in more ways than one this week is an important stage for the baby.

Well if you are undergoing such experience than all this is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. You do now have a radiant glow to your face and all this is because your body is experiencing an increased blood flow and this is causing your blood vessels to expand and that is why your cheeks are red and you do have a plum face. But all is not rosy from now on because you also do experience a lot of nose bleeding yourself. You have got to manage the situation and the worse part of this could be that you do go for a job as a bleeding nose at work place is not something anyone wants to see. As of now, do stay away from smoke and dust particles. Even though you are producing estrogen which mostly causes swelling of the mucosa membranes that do leave you with flowing nose. But then this is something that is going to carry on for sometime. Best you can do is avoiding the foreign irritants.

Your Baby In Week 16

This is one week in which you did find your ultrasound test one of the most memorable ever, for you be lucky enough to see your baby sucking its thumb. More so by this time you can for sure be certain of the gender of the baby, only if you did not figure it last week. The baby is growing and at a fast rate. But nothing to worry or think it is heading for an explosion. The only thing is considering the last 15 weeks, now it is developing at faster rate. Your baby is now nearly at a stretch of 4.5 inches, that is it had added a 2 inches in the past week. The baby now weighs around 3.5 ounces too. More so, the head and body ratio has begun to almost come to normal terms, this has more to do with other body parts growing than anything else. They are soon attaining the normal size that they would have at the time of the birth. The limbs are now near full strength and the legs to are getting in shape. More over the little ones eyes have begun to move but they are still closed only.

This is one week from where on you did start to notice that your breasts too are adding on some pound. And they would just continue to grow bigger and bigger. Yes, soon you did get yourself all loose fitting clothes to catch some air. Do not mind if your breast are just growing too big for your comfort, it is temporary and not forever. Whatever they are, it is natural and not any transplant that you are seeing so often. Your nipples will be very soft now but touching them will just give you enough pain and you would not like to do that again. And as usual, your nose continues to bleed and bleed. This seems to be one of those times, where if a process starts then there is no stopping. Now what has happened is that you can smell better and from a distance too. But then this new power of smell is accompanied with more nasal blocks and nose bleedings and if bleeding is excessive than that would not be normal and you did better check up with a doctor. So, apart from continues nose bleeds and breast size growing it is a calm week.

Your Baby In Week 17

The only thing that is permanent as of now is growth. And this is just like the previous week is a time when your baby just continue to grow and all its organ are developing. It has added a few inches now and could be around 5.0 inches or there about and weighs close to 4.9 ounces. So even though it is still tiny it is growing at a good speed. It is all curled up and if you were to measure it otherwise it would come to a something of 13 cm. And the placenta is also in turn growing to accommodate your baby. The placenta nourishes the fetus with nutrients and removes wastes. The placenta is an important part as it now contains thousand of blood vessels that bring nutrients and oxygen from your body to the baby’s growing body. Hence, the importance of placenta cannot be more defined. And now the need is for baby to continue in a similar fashion of growth as it is undergoing a very important stage where all the organs are getting developed and this is something that is going to be of optimum importance for the future life of the baby.

Your Body In Week 17

This is certainly one of the enjoyable weeks for you. And it is said that the second trimester is the most enjoyable of the three. But then what happens in this week or soon is something that is new to you and you need to adjust to the situation without losing your cool. You will soon encounter ‘round ligament pain’ and this is due to the stretched ligaments and muscles that are supporting your growing uterus. What you would be told to do by a doctor would be sleep on your left side. What happens this way is that you do not compress your pelvis veins and decrease blood flow to lower half of your body and also the pain in lower abdomen. To avoid all these, what you can do is to sleep on your left side. By doing so it eases out the pressure factor and thereby allow normal blood flow. Even though it might feel like a stabbing pain but there is no way you can do anything about it and more so when it happens towards the end of the day when you are trying to sleep. But then there is little else you can do.

Your Baby In Week 18

Turning to week 18 is very much like turning to adulthood in more ways than one for a baby. The baby continues its growing process and soon the pads of his fingers and toes are formed. It is on these only the baby is going to stand tall one day. By now the baby has grown 0.5 inches more and stands at 5.5 inches. But it has put on some weight from last week form 4.5 ounces now weighs at 7.5 ounces. The baby is developing all organs and can by now kick you and sleep too. The skin is still pink and ears stick out form his head that are the same for some time now. The heart of the baby begins to build-up muscle cells and is pumping between 25 and 30 quarts of blood a day. One more reason why the week 18 is like turning to adulthood is because of the fact that if your baby is a boy than the prostate will begin to develop this week. The sleeping baby is soon developing his organs and is now just reaching the half way mark. What more by now baby has got its set of fingerprints too.

Finally it is happening. If it has not happened already or if you had never took this for the real thing than now you do feel it for sure. You could feel the baby kick you and use its hand and legs too. It had already started using it but it is only now that you are getting the hang of the real thing. It is for sure something that you had been waiting to happen and something that everyone kept asking. And now every time the baby moves you do tell your husband about it and he would out his face near the belly to fell it. In fact anyone near you can also make out the movement because it would b that easily visible. Now you do realize that it had also happened last week but you did take it for a little indigestion. But then if this is not happening to you, there is need not worry as it happens at different time and week for all. But then if you are not able to feel anything in the next week too then it is being on the safer side to just mention this to your doctor.

Your Baby In Week 19

It is an understatement to say that your baby is growing. But it would be right to say that it is growing rapidly. Now your baby is weighing at 8 to 9 ounces and is about 6 inches long. If your baby is a boy he did already start developing the prostate and if the baby is to be a girl, then her ovaries are now containing primitive egg cells. What more, the baby now is all covered up with lanugo, this is a soft covering of hair that does appear all over the body and it is something that would remain on baby’s face and ears after baby’s birth too. And adding to this is vernix, this is a milky white covering that protects baby’s skin from its aquatic environment. It is necessary protection cover as otherwise what happens is something that happen to any human if it is in water for nine months – get wrinkled. The placenta continues to grow and provide nourishment to the baby. What more the permanent teeth buds are forming behind the already formed milk teeth. You would not believe but the baby is actually storing iron for the production of red blood cells.

Your Body In Week 19

You are just about getting hand of the new butterfly in stomach feel. Now when there is a movement you know what is it and it is not indigestion for sure. But then still there is long way to go before you do feel the kicks and the punches, the Rocky is still practicing to knock you over. But then if you are not feeling anything still and have not consulted a doctor you very well should consider doing the same as soon as possible. And you can also consult the doctor regarding one issue that might be tickling you for a while that if or not you can have sex and will it hurt the baby. And the most probable answer you did get is ‘yes, go for it’. At various stages of pregnancies woman do have infancy towards many things and it is prerogative of men folk to provide them with whatever they ask for. What you need to do or this is to have a open talk with your husband on the fact that you did like to have sex and talk it out as to how safe it is and how you want it to be.
